Home First Forgivable Loan
As part of former Mayor Bloomberg’s “New Housing Marketplace Plan,” the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development created the Home First Down Payment Assistance program. The program provides qualified homebuyers with up to $100,000 toward the down payment or closing costs on a 1–4 family home, a condominium, or a cooperative in one of the five boroughs of New York City.
Restored Homes
Restored Homes Housing Development Fund Corporation is a non-profit organization that partners with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development and two leading national non-profits – Local Initiatives Support Corporation and Enterprise Community Partners – to help revitalize New York City neighborhoods affected by the mortgage foreclosure crisis. Restored Homes purchases vacant 1–4 family homes in targeted neighborhoods, addresses their rehabilitation needs and re-sells them to low- and moderate-income families.
Homebuyer Dream Program
The Homebuyer Dream Program provides grants up to $10,000 to homebuyers who finance their purchase through community lenders approved by FHC.
